From his emergence in Pride FC up until now there has been no MMA Heavyweight fighter strong enough to withstand his grappling technique and striking ability. Watching Fedor fight is simply amazing. He throws deadly, quick bombs on his opponent and is quite technical on the ground as well. Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski, Antonio Minotauro Nogueira, Semmy Schilt, Mirko Crocop, Kevin Randleman, Mark Coleman...have all tried and did not succeed.

The only ones left are Randy Couture, Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar. But will the fights ever happen?

On January 11th, 2007 the MMA world was shocked to hear that veteran UFC fighter Randy Couture was coming out of retirement to fight the reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia for the belt at UFC 68 on March 3rd 2007.

Tim Sylvia has been tearing up the UFC Heavyweight division by defeating six fighters since 2005. Tim"The Mainiac" Sylvia is part of the Militech Fighting Team with teamates such as Matt Hughes, Jens Pulver and Robbie Lawler.
