Mauricio Shogun Rua fights Chuck Liddell in one of the rarest matchups setup by the UFC. This fight could not have happened in Pride FC but now that Shogun has come to the UFC this dream match is a reality. Mauricio Shogun Rua is coming off 2 knee surgeries and finally has had time to build up his cardio at the Chute Boxe Academy while Chuck Liddell has been hungry for a win since his fight with Quinton Rampage Jackson.

At Pride 22 - Beasts from the East 2 (9/29/2002) Quinton Jackson (now in the UFC) fought Igor Vovchanchyn. Igor is no slouch as he fights for the knockout and has heavy hands. Quinton Rampage Jackson built up his reputation for slamming people in Pride Fighting Championships.

Man oh man....Quinton's at it again with his crazy antics but that's just the kind of fighter he is. He is approached by a Japanese interviewer who takes the opportunity to ask him about his chain he wears in his fights in Pride.

Little does she know what kind of animal Quinton Jackson (now fighting in the UFC)! She starts her interview but can't follow through with it! LOL! This all takes place in the Pride FC fighter locker room area where some of the fighters hang out including Mirko Crocop. He's in the back playing cards and witnesses the entire scene.

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson fights Kazushi "The Gracie Hunter" Sakuraba in Pride 15 Raging Rumble in the middleweight division (2/2001).

This fight marks Quinton's first Pride FC debut putting him on the map in the MMA world against one of the most popular Japanese submission fighters, Kazushi Sakuraba. Quinton Jackson was a very well-known mma fighter in Pride Fighting Championships before entering the octagon in the UFC in early 2007.

Sakuraba is nicknamed "The Gracie Hunter" from his challenges to fight Royler Gracie, Royce Gracie, Renzo Gracie and Ryan Gracie. Sakuraba has also made verbal challenges to fight the great Rickson Gracie which never materialized unfortunately. Also he is well known for stepping up to fighting opponents much bigger, stronger and heavier than himself.
