During their first MMA fight Tsuyoshi Kohsaka cut Fedor which gave Fedor his first ever and only loss up until this day. He meets Tsuyoshi Kohsaka to try to avenge his loss.

From his emergence in Pride FC up until now there has been no MMA Heavyweight fighter strong enough to withstand his grappling technique and striking ability. Watching Fedor fight is simply amazing. He throws deadly, quick bombs on his opponent and is quite technical on the ground as well. Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski, Antonio Minotauro Nogueira, Semmy Schilt, Mirko Crocop, Kevin Randleman, Mark Coleman...have all tried and did not succeed.
